Ergolab/Showroom

As part of the injury prevention program, CSU Ergonomics maintains an Ergolab (showroom) where employees can explore, test, and experience a variety of office ergonomics equipment before making a purchase. The Ergolab is designed to help employees find solutions that enhance comfort, productivity, and overall well-being in the workplace.

Why Visit the Ergolab?

  • Hands-on Experience: Employees can interact with ergonomic equipment in person, ensuring proper fit and function before committing to a purchase.

  • Expert Guidance: Certified ergonomists evaluate and test all equipment in the Ergolab, ensuring high-quality, effective options that support employee health and safety.

  • Wide Range of Equipment: Available items include chairs, height-adjustable tables, lighting, keyboards, mice, keyboard trays, and more—offering employees a variety of solutions tailored to different needs.

  • Trial Before Purchase: Although not mandatory, testing equipment before purchase is highly recommended to determine its effectiveness and suitability for individual workspaces.

  • Purchase Support: Employees can purchase approved ergonomic equipment and furniture through CSU-approved vendors where applicable. (The CSU Ergonomics Program is not a distributor and does not sell equipment.)

Equipment Loan Program

In addition to the Ergolab, CSU Ergonomics offers a loan program that allows employees to try equipment in their own workspace before purchasing. The trial period, typically around two weeks, is free of charge and helps determine the effectiveness of ergonomic solutions in reducing discomfort, fatigue, and injury risk factors.

  • Loaned equipment can be used in both on-campus and home offices.

  • Not all items, including larger furniture such as chairs and height-adjustable tables, may be available for loan.

**Due to size limitations, the Ergolab can accommodate a maximum of 4 visitors during an appointment.**
